Journeymen - Glass JoeBiography:Joseph Mattieau Glace's mother Pauline died when he was a toddler. His father Adrien had always struggled with anxiety, but his wife's death made it incredibly severe. He decided he couldn't take care of his son, so he asked his late wife's widowed mother to raise Joe, at least until Adrien recovered.Joe's grandmother, whom he called "Mémé," was a sweet, very devout Roman Catholic who lived in the French countryside. However, she secretly resented Joe's dad for "abandoning" his son, so she didn't really try to help Adrien. She thought all he needed to do was to pray, "have more faith," and look on the bright side, when in reality he had a sickness he couldn't cure on his own. She always told Joe that his father was so sick that he was physically incapable of coming to see him. When Joe asked why they couldn't go to him, Mémé said she didn't want Joe to catch what he had.
